Nigel Hearne is Chevron Corporation’s Executive Vice President, Oil, Product & Gas and was appointed as the Asia Natural Gas & Energy Association’s inaugural chairman in 2021. A highly respected figure within the global gas and energy sectors, Nigel has worked in senior upstream and downstream operating roles around the world in a career spanning more than 30 years.
In Nigel’s current role at Chevron, he is responsible for the entire value chain, ensuring a more integrated approach to capital allocation, asset class excellence and value chain optimisation. His wealth of global experience in gas and energy make him a natural fit to help drive ANGEA’s vision of a collaborative approach between governments, societies and industries to deliver energy transition in Asia.
Nigel regularly contributes opinion pieces to high-profile Asian media outlets, examining the key opportunities and challenges presented by energy transition in countries across the region. Nigel graduated from the University of Sussex with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s in engineering management from the University of Glamorgan.
