ANGEA grows its reach in the first half of 2023

It’s certainly been a busy and productive first six months of 2023 for the Asia Natural Gas and Energy Association (ANGEA), with plenty more still to come.

A crucial part of the schedule has been two visits to Bangkok – firstly for the inaugural inaugural Energy Transition Executive Forum in partnership with the Petroleum Institute of Thailand (PTIT), and then for the Future Energy Asia Summit and Exhbition (FEA).

FEA was something of a milestone for ANGEA, being the first conference we’ve exhibited at and also marking the launch of the Rystad Study Into Energy Security In Southeast Asia, an extremely relevant piece of research undertaken by global independent specialists Rystad Energy.

The study will be the subject of a public lecture in Bangkok in June (again in partnership with the PTIT) and we are hopeful it can help inform critical conversations about energy security and energy transition in Asia over the next few years.

The travelling schedule for ANGEA CEO Paul Everingham so far in 2023 has also included his first visit to CERA Week in Houston, speaking engagements at major energy events in his native Australia, visits to Japan to meet with energy companies, government officials and other stakeholders, and productive meetings in Indonesia – including  with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (ESDM) and Co-ordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs (pictured below). Amongst all that, ANGEA also opened its new offices in Singapore.

ANGEA meets with officials from the Co-ordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs of Indonesia.

There will be a great deal more engagement for ANGEA to come as the remainder of 2023 unfolds. Excitingly, this will involve on-the-ground enagement for the first time in both Vietnam and South Korea, and participation at LNG2023 in Canada.

ANGEA is an industry association representing LNG and natural gas producers, energy buyers, suppliers and companies in APAC. Based in Singapore, it works in partnership with governments and societies across the region to deliver reliable and secure energy solutions that achieve national economic, energy security, social and environmental objectives and meet global climate goals.
