ANGEA and the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute entered into an official Memorandum of Understanding in late 2023. The partnership aims to help advance policy development, advocacy and education for carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology in the Asia Pacific.

ANGEA and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2024, to enhance acceleration of energy transition development and strengthen energy security in Southeast Asia.
Beni Suryadi, Deputy Executive Director of ACE, said it was hoped that “the cooperation between ACE and ANGEA [can] continuously expand for years to come, producing fruitful and concrete initiatives to advance ASEAN’s energy transition and strengthen energy security towards a sustainable low-carbon economy.”
ANGEA and the Korean Private LNG Industry Association announced a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2024, aimed at fostering cooperation on natural gas development in Asia and the role of LNG in the energy transition.

ANGEA and the Petroleum Institute of Thailand collaborated to host the first Thailand Energy Transition Executive Forum, an event that attracted more than 300 global leaders from government, industry, academia and research organisations.
“This Forum was an opportunity to hear from Thai and global experts in CCS/CCUS and other net zero technologies – with the goal of advancing knowledge and capabilities in Thailand. Achieving Thailand’s net zero goals will require strong partnerships and clear leadership; and we all have a role to play.
